The evergreen diva Dimple Kapadia turns 52 today. The actress who made her acting debut with Raj Kapoor's Bobby opposite Rishi Kapoor, has always held a special place in everyone's heart, not just for her looks but also her phenomenal talent.
At the peak of her career, when she was hailed all over as the 'Bobby' girl, Dimple got married to the then reigning superstar, Rajesh Khanna and settled down to domesticity. The marriage did not last long and Dimple came back to the movies. Her comeback film, Sagar, was opposite her first film her Rishi, and the duo again lit up the screen with their sizzling chemistry. Her second inning proved very productive for Dimple and she not only did the typical heroine number, but also worked in films of substance like Lekin, Prahaar and Dil Chahta Hai, to name just a few. Today, the actress is very selective about her roles and makes a rare appearance in films. Both her daughters, Twinkle and Rinkie, are happily married. But her sister, Simple, has been fighting cancer for the couple of years and Dimple has been taking care of her. Her lustrous hair and her doe eyed look, held millions captive. She still has the power to mesmerize her audiences wither her sheer screen presence and talent. One really hopes to see more of this actress.
